97vs03 Rear window advice

Ok heres the deal, i got a stock sliding rear window on my 97 and going to switch to a solid one soon. I got a buddy on here that has one from either a 02 or 03 i cant remember exactly. My question is, was there any changes to how the windows installs from the 97 to 03's? (size, screws, molding, etc?)

^ Should be pretty easy to do, just follow the instructions in the link above. Make sure you clean it really well so it seals nicely. I just took mine out & fixed it a few weeks ago and it wasnt any trouble at all with 2 people. So swapping yours should give any problems.

junk yards have plenty of them. I was in the opposite position a year ago, kept looking for a solid one piece to replace my leaking slider. I think the solid looks cleaner.

it definitely looks cleaner, but when were doing field operations and training i usually have soldiers in the bed, or when out hunting friends, and it would be nice to be able to have that window open

I agree that solids look cleaner, but I use my slider so much. They are really useful. Good luck on the swap and like said earlier make sure to get it good and clean.

As far as I know, you have to replace yours for a supercab one and not a reg cab or maybe s-crew one. There are differences there but year wise, I don't think it matters. Yes, as mentioned, very easy to do!

The windows are the same. I have a slider from a reg cab in mine. Ford changed the moldings for a cleaner look so if you can pick up the molding it would be a bonus.
