Brake ???

Hey guys, i have posted over in the wheel and brake section a question about my brakes, now i have another ?? figured i would aim more towards my 97-03 brothers...
My front and rear brakes and rotors are shot. The rotors are original, never been turned. The truck has 138,000 miles on it. The shop said the rotors are out of spec to be turned, i figured after all those miles, i can see that. I am currently researching (made a spreedsheet and everything, dumb engineer, lol) i am leaning towards going with Brake Performance slotted rotors front and rear and Wagner TQ brake pads. After all these miles, should i go ahead and upgrade/change the brake hoses too? My motto is, if i have to swap/replace something on the beast, i upgrade. What about SS brake hoses? I have read they help with the brake feel. Any opinions? Also, i will be replacing the bearings while all this is being done. Down side is, i live in an apartment, and have to pay someone to do this.. sucks. I have the ability, just not the work space.
Thanks for looking and adding comments!

I dont see why you should have to upgrade brake hoses. Unless you been taking off the calipers and letting them hang by the hoses instead of zip tying them. My 98 got 204500 miles on it and I still trust my brake hoses so you should be good. Save your money.

There has bee alot of issues (including my truck) with blocked flex hoses in the front which caused wheel lockup. I recommend changing them with that milage with OEM or an upgrade.

Does anyone know of a place to get the SS braided hoses for the front?

Also, i am going to get the wheel bearings replaced. Do these come in two pieces, an inner and outer? Or just one per side?

Brake hoses are hard to judge from the outside. The wires need to be inside the rubber to perform best and give that "through the windshield braking. The best hoses are pretty stiff when new, if they're braided on the outside too, so much the better. Remember the hose displacement at 5mpa (hard braking) is supposed to be less than 0.45 cc's. Often test this in my Lab as it's necessary when I do brake performance testing on my drag rig. The best I've seen is 0.35cc and that hose was really stiff with double steel braiding inside the rubber with a pcv center tube. I'm not allowed to tell you the brand though because of company rules. Sorry.

I found this URL link for SS Braided Hoses. I don't know anything else about it other than the google search.
