F350

Have 1997 F350 XLT and it only had 69000 on it and is in excellent condition.
This A.M. the check engine light came on. I had changed spark plugs last
week and evidently had knocked a vacuum hose off and that led me to start
thinking if there was a scan tool that would work on this truck. But since it
is 8500 GVW I could not find one. I sent a picture of the connector to
to sales@obdcom.com and they say there is not one for it. If any one else
is looking for the connector it is on the left side right up next to the firewall.

First of all, this is the 1997 to 2003 F-150 forum. We have a separate forum for the Super Dutys, it's only 2 forums down the page from this one.

You don't have OBD2 in your truck, you have the old EEC system. You may be able to use the paper clip trick and count the flashes of the CEL. I don't have the procedure handy.
