2000 F-150 4.6 with heater core issue

I noticed a leeking issue by the pasinger side wheel, then a funny smell inside the truck, I called the local dealer and I was told that my heater core had just gone out, I been checking all kinds of posts here and there regarding the replacement......... but, is it really neccesary to remove the entire dash?

or can I just remove the glove box and go from there? I'm just trying to see if there is an easier way to do it........somebody here did it in 1.5 to 2.0 hrs
thanks

That would be a day of days, - more less. - Most likely more.
