shift cable

97 f150, 4.6, 4R70. recently replaced the heater core, i dropped the steering column down and had it resting on the drivers seat. dumb friend walks up and slides the seat back and it falls. didn't think anything of it. put it all back together, and it turns out that i broke something. it was dark, so i only got a brief look with a flashlight, and what i saw was....apparently at the end of the linkage on the column, where it meets the cable, apparently theres a plastic tube that keeps the cable rigid to push back through the housing when you move the shifter up. that broke in half, so i can go from park down, but not back to park.

so what i need is:
how do these cables connect? someone told me its 2 cables from the linkage to the transmission.

whats the P/N from ford for what i need?

thanks in advance.
