New tires, now I need some speedo help..

Thanks fellas.. I knew it would be off when I went up in size, but its nothing too bad, so Im not gonna stress over it. When I come up with some extra funds I will go ahead and get the new part to make things correct again.

And as far as mile markers, the highway I take is missing most of them, as we have some unruley teens that will steal anything, and the highway department got tired of replacing them. Guess I could compare mileage of the odometer against my GPS. I just wish it displayed the damn speed so I wouldnt have to fuss with any of that crap.

I bumped to a 285/70r17 and didnt notice but very minor if not any difference in the speedo vs gps... Have a video of my speedo being right at 40 and the gps flicking back and forth from 39-40 so it was very close.

i used an ipod APP called "tirecalc" (free) and u put the old size in and the new and it will tell u the difference.
