Leaky Rear Window

My '97 SCab Leaked, and this '03 SCab leaks in almost the exact same spot, right behind the drivers seat. The rear seat will have drops on it, and of course the carpet gets wet and sours and smells... On the '97 I just slabbed it up good with silicon. Is this what everyone else is doing or is there a better option? The plastic trim on this '03 doesnt sit right up against the cab like I thought it did on my '97 for some reason.

Yes, tech article recently shows this, it's very good. Just did mine, very easy to do and didn't take too long either, 2hrs start to finish taking my time.
