PATS key bypass for remote start?

What brand works best with the Ford transponder key? I have a remote start but need to purchase the bypass to make it work. I know there are a ton of brands out there but wasn't sure if there were any opinions on what works best with our trucks.

Before I get flamed for not using the search function I should probably expand a little.

I looked thru all those posts about bypasses and everyone looks like they are using the ones that require a second key made. I plan on using the programable one that doesn't require a second key. I don't see any posts on these.

bypass

there are quite a few bypass modules that do not require a key in order to work. but if you have two working ford keys, you can program a third yourself and use a 556uw. either way, if you get stuck, pm me. I've only installed a few hundred remote starts or so in my day.

As long as the key starts the truck, you should be able to use it to program the bypass. Either way, you need two keys.

556U...old school, leaves a key in the truck.
PKALL...no losing a key, but needs two keys to program.

it's been a while since I was in the alarm field, however DEI (directed electronics) handles a module that simulates the correct transponder keyand is programmed into the computer, thus you don't need to use the second key.
This system was first employed on the trucks in 1998.

At least until 2002 a third key could be made by a locksmith because these keys could be cloned, meaning the locksmith only needed to cut the key, use a cloning machine to read the chip and write the new key blank. Programming a key at the vehicle is not required.

In my field simulating what a thief could do as I was opposing Ford in court, I totally defeated the truck/suv transponder very simply.

My process was tried by others in the forensic field and the consensus was, not only was my process valid from 10/10/2000, but they made their own videos relecting it!

The problem with total bypass and truck is stolen, insurance company will not pay because their experts are too ignorrant or arrogant to admit this.

The problem with using the second key in the vehicle, thief can break the plastic key box and now has access to a working key.

That DEI unit is the one I am getting. It doesn't require a key to be left in the vehicle but it does still require 2 keys to program. I think in essence it's a transponder minus the key shank. You end up having to program it the same way you program a regular 3rd key. I was just hoping for a way around having to pay 40-60 bucks just to program this 2nd key. lol
