Couple of updates! (pics)

So a buddy of mine and I got bored after class a little while ago and went down to the parking garage to take some pics.. Nothing to exciting. Being in school and having about a 100 campus wide responsibilities its hard to find time/money to do mods but Im picking away at stuff here and there. Tinted tails, 250w 8" infinity woofer, gauge overlay (not really new.. but why not), ipod hookup, DIY stock intake mod.

On to the pics!

I love the touch screen, it was cheap $150 ebay find and it has worked for me flawlessly over the last couple of years. I have it grounded out so I can play movies while in motion (my friends love it for road trips) and have my ipod hook up to it, so I can't say I have any complaints. I believe its an Eonon E1012.

I don't have to many pics of the console, but I can definitely grab some more. I built it myself just to house the CB cause I wanted it out of the way and kind of wanted an OEM feel. The APC sticker was a joke haha I stuck it on there when I got my gauges in and never got around to peeling it off, Im thinking Ill do that after class today.

I only did a couple of semi-light coats on the tails/third brake light and a couple coats of clear. I taped off the reverse lenses so they would stay clear, I think they turned out just right, not to light, not to dark.

Thanks for the tip. If your lookin for a OEM feel with that console, look into swapping it for a expy console. Theres threads everywhere about how to do it, where to buy, etc

I have absolutely looked into the expy console, I would have to switch out my 60/40 for two buckets right? I'll absolutely get to it someday, I think its all about finding the right deal at a junkyard.

Fitchburg State University, its a parking garage at the end of the street that runs through campus (North street)

The intake mod is something I found on here.. "the poorboy's intake mod" maybe? basically its just trimming down the air box housing, but leaving enough material so the metal ring still holds the cone together. Then you throw a new cone filter in there and you got it!

Here's a question for you guys. How much difference do you think an intake heat shield would make for me with this altered stock intake? I don't think it would be to hard to fab up, just wondering if I would see any better performance or better intake temps.
