Odd Heater Problem
Odd Heater Problem
Hello Gentlemen,
I am having a real problem with my '02 F-150 FX4, 5.4l. I have heat through Panel, and Floor, but cold air through everything else. At first I didn't realize that I had heat at all, and went through the usual checklist: core hoses hot, flush system, new thermostat. After trying the 'cheap stuff', I sucked it up and figured I had a blend door problem, started taking all that apart (could hear motor/actuator turning, figured the axle was broken), but just out of luck I flipped over to Floor and whaddya know, HEAT!
This got me to testing and I've discovered that I have heat on Panel, and Floor, but not Panel/Floor, Defrost, Defrost/Floor, or any other setting. I believe that I'm correct to assume that the A/C is operating during those other settings regardless of the position of the temperature control? Which, by the way, is manual. If it matters, the truck was sitting still when I discovered the heat, not moving down the road.
Is this still a Blend Door problem or can I find/check something else?
Sorry if' I'm posting to the wrong spot.. I'm new.
Thanks!
