wipers are working on their own...

I searched through the wiper threads, saw some about half-way working, not working, only working on high, only working while engine running...

Mine is a 2000 Lariat 4x4, S/C, 5.4 and every so often they go through a full up to down movement, without touching the switch and in the off position. Sometimes its once every 2-3 miles for about three times then sometimes its up and down, like normal speed about 4-5 times in a row. Nothing consistent about it, except... driving me crazy...

When utilizing the switch, they function as they are supposed to... This truck only has tinted windows, other than that it is BONE stock, 68K miles.

I call them the ghost wipers. Mine did it for a few months, found the write up on how to fix it. Was the connection inside the switch and a common problem. If they are coming on by themselves, then youll need to try this.. Lemme find it

Couldnt find the write up around here so ill post this one.

I did this to mine a while back, only took about 20 minutes. Don't bend the copper contacts. Be as gentle as you can with them. GL
