engine noise with video
Pull your drive belt off and spin each pulley. Sounds exactly what my bad alternator sounded like, at times even sounded like a supercharger lol. But with the belts off, it was a very light squeak. Pulley should not make any noise. Check those first, even the tensioner, those were fairly common to go bad and are more toward the passenger side.
And I also heard the infamous passenger side leaky exhaust manifold gasket. Get that fixed before all the studs break off... which then if your doing yourself makes it a PITA, or at a shop it will cost more for them to extract. Fix it while its not that bad.
ISSUE:
Some vehicles equipped with the 5.4L 2-valve (non supercharged) engine, may exhibit broken exhaust manifold studs.
ACTION:
On the affected bank only, replace the exhaust manifold, manifold gasket(s), and install all new stainless steel exhaust manifold studs and nuts. Torque the studs in the cylinder head to 71-115 lb-in (8-13 N-m). Torque nuts on studs to 204-239 lb-in (23-27 N-m). Refer to Workshop Manual Section 313-01A for exhaust manifold removal and installation.
But first, check your pulleys
