how do the rotors attach to the hubs?
well, may seem like a stupid question, but i havent really looked while working on the truck. how do the rotors attach to the hub? do they slide over the studs, or are they pressed(?) onto the hub? when i had to replace the wheel studs, i took the brake caliper and braket off and beat the rotor with a hammer. i figured it didnt slide off, so pushed the old studs out and pulled new ones in. but with these new rotors i got, they look like they slide over the studs. i could be wrong. take a look....

yea they just slide over the studs man. your gonnna need a bigger hammer... like an 18lb sledge. . . trust me.... you can try to use penatating oil on them, but when i finally got mine off, you could tell that the stuff hadnt even goten close too where it needed to be to help get the rotors off. i actually broke both front rotors. cracked the passenger side half way around and the dirver side completely broke. but when it did it slid down behind the part that was stuck and gave me a better place to hit with the sledge and then it popped right off.
sweet! then i can do them in the driveway! thanks alot guys.
and there powerstop rotors i believe.

yup you can do em in the drive no problem... just becarefull you dont ruin the bearings. oh and try not to hit the caliper mounting brakets! lol dont wanna break one of those
and i was wrong. the rotors are made by stop tech.....same people who make these babys.....
yea you do. i meant the cast pieces that are part of the knuckle. the part that the two big bolts go through
and ill let you know when im done. still gotta go out and grab a caliper then bleed em up.

well its been a while since I've seen a rotor separated like that.
