Howdy to all and a special good evenin' to my fellow Texans. Owned several Ford trucks in the past and figured it was time for another, company was lettin' go of a few older fleet vehicles and this one seemed right.

170,000 mile plainjane LWB fleetside with a 4.6 Triton, A/T, gray interior with the everpresent oh-so-sexy vinyl bench seat...but they left the ladder rack and aluminum toolbox on it along with the bed mat so not all was lost. Seems to be a decent rig, great brakes.

She's a lil worn in the cosmetic dept, heat/cold control ****/shaft was busted off care of the neanderthal helpers but went by the local junkyard and snagged a good used unit. AC blows a lil cooler now.

Also spotted a '99 extended cab while I was there, gray cloth interior, had the 60/40(?) with the fold-up/down console so I grabbed that too. Those Torx bolts were a lil long winded but I prevailed.

The '99 also had electric windows and nice carpet but those'll hafta wait until I really get the urge to spruce this puppy up. Priorities bein' what they are, probably gonna score some Ventshades before too long. Love those things.

Been a Ford guy since Dec 76, past (Ford) trucks were a 77 F150 LWB w/460 and an 84 F150 Xcab shortbed w/302 2V, both automatics. Anyways, I'm likin' this '98 more and more every day, pretty sure it's a keeper.
