I usually fill around half tank if I catch it cause I hate seeing the price go so far up. Haha. Makes it seem cheaper at the time.

Seeing this made me laugh.. when i was just out of school, i was always broke, so gas always on E..I pulled into the driveway one night, shut her off (SHE was a 1979 Cutlass Supreme with a 305/4bbl) went out the next morning to go to work, wouldn't start. Well, the choke was always tricky, so i took the air cleaner off, fiddled with it, nothing. Noticed there was no gas coming into the carb.. dummy figured, ih crap, my fuel pump is bad! Bought a new one, but didn't have time to put it on, so my dad did it while i was at work. He came up there after he got the car running, said, He, those things run better when you put gas in them! It must have run out as i was driving home, and the stupid GM gas sensor was always slow to respond. It was really out of gas, but i thought the fuel pump was bad.... took a long time to live that one down! Lol...
