Well it's obvious to me at this point that I'm not alone as far as the problem with the truck. I've read a number of posts on here all with the same or simalar symtoms
I didn't realize it till my mechanic told me 450.00 bucks for new plugs and boots and 80 a piece for coils and we might have to replace all of them.
I don't think so..
Problem; Idle's fine give it some thottle and initially it sputters or hesitates but then sounds great. When driving it's fine again until you try and give it throttle and it again sputters and hesitates unless you kick it into passing gear .(step on it!)
Where do I find the parts I can afford ?
What are the steps I don't want to miss.
When were talking that kind of money then I've got to do it myself.
Thank's for any and all info.

Ebay for coils, uneek or global automotive. Most seem to use uneek these days. Look for their store. Theyre about 100 for the set of 8 I believe. When was the last time you changed the fuel filter? Cleaned MAF sensor? Not sure how many miles you have, but if you have a few, those are good ideas. Is that the ONLY time it misfires? How bout on an incline? Sounds like either a misfire or lack of fuel. Use motorcraft plugs, autozone carries them for about 2 bucks a piece or something cheap like that.
I have 165,000mi. on the truck .My son just changed out the fuel filter recently . I filled the tank with non ethenol 91 octane and added Sea Foam.
Is there a way to test a COP once its off with a multi meter ?
Are they pouring something around the spark plug hole so the plugs are easier to come out ?
