I am thinking about putting a 3 inch body lift on my 97 F150 2wd. What are the pros and cons of putting one on?

 

Pros:
Fit bigger tires
Raise your ground clearance with the bigger tires (not much but its something)
Looks better in my opinion
Cheaper than suspension lift with the ability to add on to get higher in the future
Keeps all factory angles and such
Cons:
Kinda a PITA to put on but from what I've heard if you got a couple buddies then it shouldn't be too bad

If you are planning on putting a body lift on, spray your bolts with pb blaster or some other penetrating oil to make getting them off easier

 

ok, thanks. do i need to get a leveling kit too?

 

Only if you want to make your truck level. Our trucks come with rake in order to be level when there are loads in the bed.
