no air with defrost

I have a 2002 f150 that will not blow air through the driver side defrost vent. On the passenger side some air flow is present, but the air comes from the panel vent on the driver side. I live in Montana and will be in dire need of my defroster soon. Where is the defrost door located? I want to find it and manually set it at defrost and just leave it there, seeing through the windshield is more important than warm feet. I am planning on purchasing a 2011 f150 with ecoboost engine soon, so just need a fix for a few months.

If you have an inverter you might wanna carry a hair dryer with yuh lol.

Iduno, vent duct work maybe? Can you feel air blowing out the bottom of the dash on defrost? there's a duct work piece right behind that vent.

Maybe the blend door isn't functioning correctly as well. Not sure where you can work it manually.

Check under the hood behind the batt by the fire wall.
There's vacuum lines that runs the blend door . Listen for a air leak in that area.

The lines are hard plastic and become brittle and crack over time . My 00 had a crack line and I could tell I had a leak ..just knew by the sound of it running with the hood up and shutting it off.

I fixed mine by slipping a rubber hose over the broken part as a splice.
To replace them , they are a dealer item not to mention all the work getting to them ..one line goes under the batt box..I got lucky it was mid way in the line .
