Ok I bought my truck 4 months ago, she is beautiful, and I love her. BUT, I have spent endless money since then. I have put upper control arms, lower ball joints, breaks all the way around, shocks all the way around, sway bar links, 02 sensors, plugs/wires, new tires (today), and now tomorrow Im having an inner tie rod end, and my pitman and idler arm. I know I bought a used truck, but I have about 4 thousand more in this truck now than what it is worth and now Im just looking to save suspension components for the long haul. Right now it has add-a-leaf in rear with torsion keys in front. I effin hate the torsion keys, whoever made them or started doing these lifts is a very rich man. The angle on my ball joints and cv's is terrible! I want to get rid of this terrible back aching ride in the front and get the same life without my torsion keys. Only problem is, I need something TOMORROW because thats when everything else is getting done. The CV boots are torn..I cant afford 500 to buy them and have them put in and a second alignment so I was told id be fine If I keep them packed with grease, plus at this angle it doesn't look like it would matter if I replaced them they would go bad in a week! Someone please help me find a lift for the front that isnt torsion keys that will match the rear of my truck. Ill try to put a picture up to give you an idea! But pic will be with old tires.[IMG][/IMG][/IMG]

Maybe you should lower those torsion bars and get rid off the add-a-leafs. What have you spent that cost you 4 grand more than what the truck is worth?
between the tires, ball joints and upper control arms, shocks, sway bar links, o2 sensors, plugs, a/c clutch, idler pulley, radiator, tie rods, etc I have spent over 3,000 and overpayed from the get go. So yes, over 4,000 what its worth (was worth). But, will it clear 305's with stock ride heighth?
Not to mention the 2004 4.6 I installed with 60k on it. Truck itself has 180.

- so you bought a truck with all that stuff wrong with it? Then dropped a 2004 4.6 in it within 4 months of owning it? Replaced every moving part of the suspension, and bought new tires. Now you are asking me if larger tires fit?
why are you going to get 305s when you have ripped cv boots? Maintenance and repair first my friend.
Lol, quit laughing, its past the point of funny after the first repair. And yes, I did all of that stuff in 4 months. The only thing left to repair is the cv's and im out of money. I got the new tires TODAY. Need to know if I drop it back down to where the angle isn't so harsh if it will clear 305's I guess. Or if there is a way to keep it lifted without the extreme angles. You would have to see the angles to understand I believe. The CV is doing a 45, so is the upper control arm, it looks harsh.
trust me.. I have PLENTY of money in mine to know what you are talking about. This is just.. hard to follow. 305s would be fine on a bone stock truck. You need to get those torsion keys cranked down. If you are that worried about it, then just dont put the new tires on until you get another alignment. Not like they are going to wear down THAT much over the time it takes to save up for a 50 dollar alignment anyways. Your options for lift up front are suspension lifts or nothing. Unless you want to body lift it.. then the 305s will look small IMO. Lower it back down.. fix your CV's, lose the add a leaf and get a alignment. Hopefully you dont put your truck in 4wd with those angles that bad
Only had it in 4wd once and it was for 4 feet. With the posi and 305's she doesn't really need 4wd unless your driving through a small pond haha. I sure hope this works..and I can afford it!

B2theRad... I think hes sayin hes already put the tires on and is concerned if he drops the truck back to stock height, the 305's wont fit, and hes gonna have to replace his new tires.
Today I only had time to replace my a/c clutch and put new bushings on my shocks after lowering my torsion bars as low as possibly with the aftermarket keys still on. Monday my factory keys will arrive, I will install those and allow the truck to sit one more inch lower. I was absolutely amazed at the rate he had the torsion bars cranked up, aftermarket keys and then all the way tightened had to be 4 inches of lift from torsion keys and then cranked up again. Monday I will be putting cv's, innter tie rod, and one outer, and idler and pitman arm and getting a fresh alignement. Cant wait to ride in a truck that is fixed, smooth riding, and done right.
