98 0-60 times

I'm wondering what your 0-60 times are? I clocked mine yesterday and came up with almost 16 seconds??? I know I don't have a race car but it seems like it should be better than that. Can I get a couple people to test theirs out today and post them. It just seems like my truck isn't running quite right. I just did plugs and wires too. Motorcraft. Running stock except for CAI and Flowmaster SISO muffler.

That's an extremely slow 0-60 time... I have a 16 second 1/4 mile.

Edit: A 16 second 0-60 is over a 21 second 1/4 mile.

I tried mine a while back and it was something like 7 seconds to 60 km\h. I dont know what that is to 60 mph.

Tried it again today on less than a quarter tank of gas and got 14.64 still seems way slow. I don't remember the rear end. I think its 3:73?? Is there a way to find out what it is? Tires are all terrains 225 75 17. When driving almost seems like motor is bogging down or not firing strong.

Did you custom tune it with your hypertech? Did you change your own plugs/wires? did you get the firing order right? Cause thats a rly bad time.

I took the hypertech off. Its not custom tunes anyway. Just their tune. I took it off because I took the truck in to the dealer and they said I had misfires on all cylinders and suggested new plugs and wires. They also flashed my pcm and updated it because they said it was out of calibration and that there was an update. They did say that there was carbon deposits on the plugs and wanted to do a fuel system cleaning but I didn't have money for that too. I did the plugs and wires myself to save a little money. I'm almost positive I hooked them up correctly. If I didn't wouldn't it run really crappy? It runs fine, smooth, just seems weak. I tried running the hypertech and now it spark knocks REALLY bad. That's why I took it off. To clarify, it only spark knocks with the Hypertech program. Do you guys agree there is something just not right here??

Well you don't have to pick one of there quick tunes(87,91, or 93) atleast on mine i can go in and change stuff, if i mess up some stuff, it runs like crap. I was just wondering, if you took it off thats not an issue. If the firing order is wrong, If it even starts, im assuming it will run very crappy and im sure you'd have some backfires. Someone will chime in with some idea's. I would start with the cheapest stuff first like the fuel filter.
I'm not sure my 60 time but its def not 14sec.

I might buy that hypertech if you wanna sell it.

offroadn- that's funny. My hypertech doesn't give me any options to change stuff. It only loads their power programmer, can change top speed limiter for tire rating, and can change shift firmness but I don't change that since I have the shift kit. I don't even get any options for what octane I'm running. I have to run premium (93 octane) though with the programmer on.

Wow..yeah thats wayyy to slow..my 4.2L does 16.90s in the 1/4, 10.90s for the 1/8th mile @ 64 mph so I figure 0-60 is about 10-10.5s. There sure is something not right in your motor. Hope you get it sorted out.
