ac compressor started making noise randomly, and last night it locked up when i turned on the fan and stalled the truck.
Anybody have some direction to remove this compresor?
Looks like a bear.
im hoping to get a smaller belt or just a pulley to replace it.

 

The only real experience I have with a/c compressors is from when I worked on International's Maxxpro MRAPs last year. This doesn't look to different except for the location of the compressor.

Take the belt off, recover the freon, disconnect any wiring and the lines, pull the four bolts.

I just looked at mine briefly so I could be wrong, if I am I'm sure someone will let me/us know.
