Exclamation Projector Headlight Question after searching forum

Hey guys,

So I'm currently fixing up my old man's 98 F150 S-Cab 8' XLT 4x2 144k to have as a truck/second vehicle and one mod he had done after never being able to see at night was upgraded to 6000k HIDs. Now, I completely agree with his decision as I own an Audi A6 and can not live without HIDs lol However, he used the OEM factory housing which is illegal as there is no projector lense to straight-cut off and project the beam. So, I went online, ordered a pair of projector headlamps (yes off of eBay - I was not paying $300+ for stupid headlights) and recently received them in the mail. I took the projector apart to ensure it was a glass projector (lord knows with eBay, right?) and it is in fact glass.

Here is my question: the headlamps came with "two crystal clear H3 bulbs for the projectors." Now...on my Audi, H3 are the bulbs my FOG LAMPS use...are these after market "projector headlamps" for cars/trucks not equipped with OEM HIDs not made to be used as a true light source? To me...a small a$$ H3 bulb doesn't seem like it'd do anything. It says to use your factory 9007 bulb in what looks to me like the hi-beam slot? My clarify, my Audi uses 4 bulbs. The most inner bulbs are my high beams, the middle bulbs are my 8000k HIDs, and the outter most bulbs are my turn signals. It appears these headlamps are set up the same way? Unless they still expecting you to use the projectors as like a DRL and still use a single lo/hi bulb?

Now, since the old man is the one who upgraded the HIDs, I imagine he went with a 9007 HID bulb which would fit the OEM housing twist & turn style bulb socket.

Do you think these aftermarket housings can handle true HID bulbs? I've read on here many complained about the HIDs actually melting/ruining their aftermarket housings? If y'all do believe I will be fine running the 6k HIDs in these housings, what is my best way to configure the bulb to fit/secure being that they have an H3 bulb in there now which basically the back of the projector housing unscrews and inside is your ground & positive wires. Ground wire connects to a metal bracket secured to the underside of the projector housing back plate, and then the H3 bulb gets secured to the ground bracket. Does that make sense? I'm trying to explain in detail as much as I can. Basically it's not an open twist-n-turn bulb socket like our 9007 bulbs attach to. Your ideas/comments are valuable & appreciated!

Thanks everyone.
