Water on my Feet!

Today I noticed (while wearing flip-flops) that during a good rain, water comes out from under the dash and drips down onto my feet. I don't mean a drop or two, but a decent little trickle. Its not constant, its almost like something is filling up and then spilling over when I turn.

Any suggestions on where to check first? I was thinking wiper cowl drains but I dont even know if these trucks have them.

I recently had the same problem only the water was shorting out my GEM. Brought out the hose and set it on the roof let it run down the windshield. starting pulling panels and found the water coming in through the left top corner of the windshield. Pretty common on the 97-03's thats where i would suggest starting.

Should fix that leak ASAP, It can screw with more than GEM. It may fry your PCM, take out your fuse block, leave yuh stranded etc.. Yea, -its a Ford defect.

Fantastic... I gotta put about 1000 miles on it this week. I hope it waits to freak out until I get home.

I'm not sure how you fix it, mine never leaked thankfully. Hopefully, someone will post up with a fix. You can search for one. It's common enough that a fix should be out there.

my fix was prettyt simple. The way I noticed mine was leaking was from my 4wd engaging on its own, windows not going up and down speedo not working. Then noticed the floor was wet. Traced it up to the top left corner of the windshield. Took the truck to local glass shop they pulled the windshield cleaned up the framing and windshield added new sealant and re-installed the windshield. Got a good deal on it as I'm a tech at local Toyota dealer and we send them alot of business. you could try and dry it out and add some sealant to the corner yourself
