20 inch shoes on a 2wd

I am going to need tires soon so I was thinking of upgrading wheels since I am planning on getting tires. My question is those of you that run 20's on a stock 2wd, did you have any rubbing or have issues with the tires wearing out quickly?
I want to be able to travel in my truck and not have any tire wear problems.

Why do you think there would be a tire wear problem? As long as the truck is properly algined and you take care of the tires there should be no problems. Now some tires have a lower treadwear rating than others, but that really doesn't relate to the wheel size.

I only mentioned it because I have heard a couple of people complain about the tires wearing out quickly on their vehicles. (from new to 2 yr old vehicle) maybe they have been buying cheap tires then...

Or ultra high performance tires with a soft rubber compound. Tires are always a compromise.

no issues

I am running 20's on my 03 2wd and i have no issues. The front do rub just a little when turning the wheel all the way in either direction but no tire wear problems. I am running cooper discoverer HT tires. Size 285/60/20. they wear great and handle great as well. its an all around great tire for the price. they run about $145 a piece.

Dang! I'm surprised those fit period. Most people go with 275/55-20's.
