Clamping aftermarket heater hoses

Ford wants $90 for heater hoses for my truck, they include the quick disconnect for the heater core. NAPA wants half that, but they don't have the quick disconnects.

The space under the cowel is hard to get to, are there clamps that will make using the NAPA hoses easier? Or should I just suck it up and buy the Ford hoses because this job is impossible with traditional worm drive hose clamps?

Will the Ford quick disconnects work on non-Ford heater cores? I would rather put in a brass core from NAPA than an aluminum one from Ford (again, NAPA is half the cost).

it may work with the new heater core and it may not... half of the ones i have done that were not oem went straight to the quick disconnect and the other have have you cut the disconnects off... i would say get the napa one... save you some money and will probly work better with an aftermarket heater core.

I bit the bullet and bought the ford ones when I replaced my engine. Looked at the NAPA ones and decided I wasn't going to screw around with them being where they are and all. Didn't ever want to have to fix them.. They were more then $90 from my local dealer. Seems like $250 was what it came to for both. Rip off. I hate the dealer here parts are outrageous. The want $16 for a PVC valve..
