Use the COP system and you'll be fine.

It means take the 99 coil packs off and discard them. Take your COPs off your current motor and put onto the 99. Then your current wiring harness will plug right into them

You'll also have less power with a 99. It's NonPI. But you can use it .

You may want to let someone else swap this for you. - It's a easy swap, just need common sense.

Why don't you just fix the blowout properly? The only inserts that work permanently are Timesert - and if you blew an insert, you will probably need a BigSert. The other option are the guys at blownoutsparkplug.com.

They will stop blowing out if you install them correctly - no antiseize and 28 ft/lb torque.

i have already blown one out and this is the second one, plus it has some high miles and the heads are about 350 each plus the gaskets. looking at 1000 to replace the heads and gaskets and still hhave a 250,000 mile motor

Yea, you aren't going to be able to do this swap . You would need to use your intake and heads from your old engine or figure out a way to tap hold downs for the coils. That's all that's stopping yuh, - hold downs for the coils.

I would just get the heads fixed. You can rent a kit here, and fix it cheap. Without even removing the heads.
