Painting Billet Gas Cap! Need Opinions!

Im going to paint it matte black but my question is should I paint the allen bolts black as well or leave the unfinished?

BTW the allen bolts actually do not hold the gas cap assembly they are for decoration only.

Not exactly the same -but I think leaving the bolts unpainted looks better. If you are going to paint why not color code it??

I like having some black accents on my truck plus a little raw metal here and there. I went ahead an left the bolts unpainted. Now im letting it dry before another coat.

BTW im just doing this with a rattle can but question is how many coats should I put on it? I have 4 so far.

Krylon Flat black. Nothing Special. It has worked great before on other projects but guess not on this one. What should I be using?

Did you put down some primer first?

Maybe paint the bolts red to match the truck.
