Unhappy heater core replacement

I have to have the heater core replaced in my 97 F150, and am wondering what to expect as my cost? Am waiting to hear from repair shop now. Anyone have a guess?

Not sure what the cost is but I know it was significantly cheaper to bypass mine and live without heat. I live in FL though so no heat is something I could get by without.

Same here. Dealership quoted me at about $600, and a small repair shop was just over $350. I plan on fixing it soon but like sebagolow said, I live in FL and other than mornings and 15 or so days its never really that cold. The steering wheel sure does get cold though lol.
