KR Seat Repair

I need to find a pice of leather suitable for use on my KR seat. I've read enough to know that I will not be able to get the authentic Castano Leather so does anyone know where I can purchase a substitute?

Anyone replaced a cover and willing to sell a pice off of the old cover?

I've found a site where I can buy the 01 - 03 KR seat dye and an upholstry shop who will remove the seat bottom and stitch in the new piece.

Ford sells the entire seat bottom but it is on national backorder and has been for months. They won't give me the part number so I cannot google to see if anyone else has it for sale.

I can give you the number to a guy here in texas that can get kr leather. Maybe you can buy it from him then have your upholstery shop do the rest of the job

Any good upholstery shop should be able to match it, but they should be able to get the real deal KR leather.

I would greatly appreciate the number. Local shops can do the work but won't even try to get the leather. Can you PM me the guy in TX?

KingRanchCoy,

Thank you very much for the contact. I called Dean today. I'm going to remove the seat cover and send to him to repair. Dean said he has plenty of King Ranch leather and can even match the age/shade of my existing leather. He will replace the section of the seat with the hole for $120 and said he would repair/return same day received....

I found a place who sells OEM Ford parts with a seat cover in stock. They wanted $386 but it would look different from all my other seats. Dean said he will warranty his work. He says he works with the King Ranch Leather all the time. I'm very glad you put me in touch with him.

Your seats look beautiful. I will likely send him all the covers and have him do mine as well.

I saw a green King Ranch SCrew (brownish leather interior) being towed down the Jersey Turnpike today that was wrecked in the rear but not bad. Looked as if it was bought at an auction and being transported to its home. I thought about trying to get them to pull over, but didn't.

Anyways... I just though of you guys when I seen it ..
