driver/pass mirrors

My buddy took my truck in today to get 5% tint done and reminded me of my mirrors. People where I'm from I have found to be jealous of my truck because I have had a lot of vehicles and think mommy and daddy paid for them all, which isn't true since they couldn't even afford to pay for my college, or they just don't like me. but someone decided to punch both of mine and cracked the mirrors. I took it to a few shops to see if they could just replace the mirror and not the whole assembly but they told me they couldnt and it was cost me over 400 for both! Does anyone have any insight on this because I've driven with it like this and got use to it, but it looks trashy and not good. thanks!

We bought a 2000 F150 XL for the farm and it had paddle mirrors on it, we bought normal style manual mirrors from a junkyard for under $40 a piece. Just look around, they aren't expensive if you find em.

I bought my drivers side mirror at Advanced Auto. The mirror only was $16.00 and took only a couple of minutes to out on.
