I just tried to push down on it, yea it doesn't flinch. That black plate steel under the seat spans all the way across. That's why it doesn't move.

they just seem to be alot more flexible when theyre out of the truck i guess

I know what you mean there. That's because the bottom of the brackets aren't bolted down out of the truck. Yea, it's flimsy until you bolt it down, that angle bend at the bottoms tighten them up.

i just swapped mine out, and i really don't think i'll be using it again anytime soon....if ever. no rips or anything!
