if that was an XL, which i think it was (is), those didn't have the big loop at the top...i have a '97 XL and it doesn't have 'em...mine look just like his (not as nice though...lol)

man you guys have filled my head with thoughts, wants, and an empty wallet. I have a very open stock XLT and after letting my mom have it for a few years it needs updating and resto. Thanks for the ideas!!

Same here, I got myself in a hole buying everything I want, not what I needed. Lol.
