So I get back to the park and ride lot yesterday and the hood is popped. The only thing I can think of is I got a safety inspection friday and they might have been in there and not shut it tightly. The truck was still locked and nothing else awry, but anyone else experience something like this, or is something more nefarious going on?

 

its probably from the safety inspection. i wouldnt worry about it honestly.

 

As long as all is good I wouldn't worry about it. Know if something is going on with the engin you might want to figure out what has happened.

 

started popping the abs light today for the first time. hope it's just coincidental.

 

I would start with checking your wheel speed sensors for dirt and grime.
