Lift Kit

I had the local ford dealership install a rough county leveling kit on my F-150 4x4 supercrew, 5.4 automatic. The dealership told me after they installed the leveling kit that they would not raise the front of my truck. (that was the whole reason I bought the leveling was to raise the front of the truck). They said if I raised the front of the truck to level it with the rear, I would tear out my rubber axle boots due to the steep angle of the axle after the truck was raised it the front.

Is the dealership "leveling" with me....is there nothing I can do to level my f-n 150?

Almost everyone on here levels the front of their truck, its not that big of a change and its unlikely to cause any major problems.

So you bought reindexed torsion keys from rough country? How much did you pay for them?

The insert that into the statement i write below.

You spent____ on reidexed torsion keys from Rough country and wasted ____

why pay____ for something your truck can do for free?

Yeah, sorry to tell you but you got shafted. You could have leveled your truck for free by cranking up the torsion bars. Why on earth a shop would install that junk and then tell you not to crank them up is beyond me.

How many turns on the torison bar can I get away with and how many inches should I raise the front to be safe. I was told not to raise the front any more that 2".

Every truck is different. Just keep an eye on your CV joint angles and don't let them get too extreme.
