Hey guys and Gals, ive been watching and listening to this forum for almost 1 year. Ive learned alot buy just searching and listening. I just finished the intermittent odometer, resoldering trick and it worked perfect. My question is when i start my truck odometer flashes all zeros and then it shows milage like it suppose to do. Is this normal or did i screw something up, it only does this for a second. My truck is a 99 f150 xlt 4.6. Thanks you guys rock.

 

It's normal. My truck does the same thing when the odometer decides to work, I have not performed the resoldering fix yet.

 

Thanks for getting back to me so quick, fixing the odometer isnt that bad just tedious but well worth it. these type of things bug the crap out of me, good luck with yours.

 

Thanks, I'll be doing the clockspring, odometer repair and replacing the lights in my climate control unit and headlight switch sometime in the next week or so.
