Stock Head Light Question

I'm considering opening my head lights this weekend and blacking out the inside. I had used the Meg's Restoration kit a month or so ago and was planning on using it on the inside of the lens while they were open.

Now to my question, I recall reading the other day that the lenses were frosted or something to that effect, is that the case and will using the restoration kit on the inside make them clearer?

my opinion only... why would you bother to clean-up the outside... take them out to open the inside to clean-up..then black out them ....re-seal them....... when you can get aftermarkets cheap and with less hassle?

I Think I can answer this for him. And keep in mind I'm not being a smart ***, but some people (I'm included in this) 1. Prefer to make as many parts and or customize their own parts as experience allows. 2. Money aint out there like it use to be...these trucks use up most of our allowance in gas...not that we mind....I know I wouldn't trade mine for anything. :-) Just my .02c

I'll agree with that for the younger generation for your #2.. but ...... ebay styles aren't cheaper, faster and less involved than #1???

And your .02c is not taken as such

Well...with ebay you also get what you pay for in most cases. Personally I prefer to take them apart and seal them myself...as most light's I've bought from ebay leak within 1 year.

Ok, I should have said PTM and not "black out," like in the thread on the second page of the Articles and How To section How to paint headlights. I already did my taillights and corners (had to order new corners because they cracked due to impatience) and it wasn't that much of a hassle.

So does the whole if they aren't Lightning or Harley thing still apply if I'm not actually blacking out the lenses? And still wondering about the lenses being frosted or can that be cleared up from the inside?

And to answer the question in post #2, its more of a sense of accomplishment and means a little more when people say something I did looks good and telling them I did it myself instead of I ordered it. If that makes any sense.

Appreciate the answers guys.
