97 scab remote oil filter advice

My oil lines are leaking on my remote oil filter, and I'm looking to replace the lines. The current set up looks to be ford factory parts.Looking for what route to go for replacement of the whole remote system, or can I just get new factory hoses?

I think you can just go to any parts store that make Hydrolic lines and get some made. But I would compare the prices first. It may cost less to go with factory

Did you ever find an answer to this? I've found a few after market units, but none have attachment for the sending unit. The OEM unit seems like it's the only way to go unless you want to cut the metal tube on the original and take your chances with a hose clamp.

oil lines

No I have not pursued looking for the oil lines yet, but I really need to. My brother said Ford sells them. He used to be a Ford truck mechanic.I also need to get a 4x4 trans. shift motor, and adjust the steering box.Four wheelers have taken overmy activities,so I neglected to spend time on my truck and trying to restore my 66 mustang.

dman66, Summit Racing sells a few units that look good IF you're gonna replace a block mount unit. Type in "remote oil filter" on your browser and a bunch of other carriers will come up. Summit's (different munufacturers) run Between $40 - $150. I have an oem unit thats mounted on the left side, on a frame member behind the bumper. Good place,
easy to get to.
Like yor brother says, Ford does sell 'm. They're not cheap, around $250. I've been looking at 'em because I have a line leak. The one that Ford sell looks like it includes, or attaches to a manifold type thing that's part of the cooling system (there's a hose from the radiator attached to it, different hole of course). Anyway, look up the other guys, won't hurt! Mike
