Hi guys, awhile back my auto 4x4 did work, but now it does not. I checked all obvious things, but yesterday I checked the shift motor on the transmission, and when I removed the motor the selector on the trans was pointing at 4H. Does this mean that the trans is in 4high,or the electric shift motor failed at this spot? I have no auto switch lighting and no relays clicking. If the electronic shift motor on trans fails,would you get any attempts of the switch activating inside truck? The truck is actually in 2wheel drive currently with the trans selector pointing at 4H.
