A/C problem partially solved?

Hello again,
Now its the a/c time for tweeking. The compressor clutch was not engaging and I disconnected the elec. leads to the cycling sw. and jumped the 1 & 7 o'clock terminals which activated the a/c clutch. Unfortunately after running the engine for a few minutes no cold air was observed from the vents. If the system was low on refigerant, which I suspect is, would the cycling sw. prevent the crt. from being completed and act as a low refrigerant cut out switch?
Would also like to know where I can get a wiring diagram of the F-150.
Thank you in advance

Yes

They sell r134a recharge kits, you will need to jump the clutch again to put in the refridgerant. You may have a leak somewhere so it may not work completely. Putting in dye may help find a difficult and slow leak.
