Hello barbato,

That model is called a SuperCab with Flareside Bed.

Your pictures tell me it is not a 1999.
The front bumper and the interior door is wrong for 1999.
Also 1997 & 1998 = 3 door.
1999 = 4 door.

It is a 1997 or a 1998.
You can tell which year from the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) .

The tenth(10) position of the VIN is the Model Year.
V = 1997
W = 1998
X = 1999

Disconnect the battery for 20 minutes then reconnect, maybe that will help your gauges.

my mom saw the vin and at the tenth position there is a V so it's made in 1997... but it was registered in 1999 in canada???

also one question, what is the difference from flareside to stepside???
because i thought that is a stepside

Vehicles get registered every year here, maybe every two years in Canada.
It is good for you to know it is a 1997 if you are ordering parts.
Some '99 parts don't fit '97, some do.
It is always safer to know and use the correct year.

Flareside is just a name.
Cheverolet calls them Stepside.
Ford calls them Flareside.

You have the same truck as the man who built this website, 1997 XLT Supercab Flareside.
(His was white)

It could have also been driven by someone at the dealership and not registered until sold or it could have been a left over that did not sell until 1999. Looks to be a nice truck and in excelllect condition.
