Trans mount to trans tailshaft bolt size needed...

Trans mount to trans tailshaft bolts size needed...

My 01 SC has been making a humming or vibration noise for a while. Finally went under yesterday to take a look and noticed the two bolts that secure the trans mount to the tail shaft were missing.

Anybody know what size the are?

Thanks,
Jim

I went to my local dealer, but all he had was a part number: 391558-S100 (or 5100. Hard to read his writing). $5.69 each.

I tried a 10mm (which is a little smaller than 7/16) and it was too small. A 12x1.25x35 bolt threaded in nicely on one side and held fine, but the other side was stripped. To get me by until I can really fix it, I JB Welded the stripped bolt in. Of course, I may have fixed it forever with the JB Weld.

I had my tailshaft bushing and seal replaced, along with the driveshaft balanced a year ago by a shop. Looks like somebody there was a little too aggressive on one bolt and forgot the other...
