That's not very much to go on, I can't believe any shop would say that to you lol. Sounds like they just wanted you to go away. ?

Sure, get a new truck, why not..

Isn't this supposedly like the third or fourth vehicle you've crashed or broke?

I'll just make this easy. The mechanic was right. The truck is broke, fortunately your best bet would be to just give it to me as a donation (you can write it off) And go finance yourself a nice new one with the such great rates banks are offering... you'll have it paid off in under 10 years at twice the cost.. Thats not to bad is it? Perfect plan if you ask me.

On the serious side. More details are needed. "My truck was ticking and the mechanic said its either the rear diff or tranny" doesn't help much at all. Bring back more details and you'll get answers bud

Rear-end, T-case, or Transmission huh? Kinda leaves a little bit of an open window for options. But yeah since you are rich or whatever, meh! Just replace it. Money grows on trees for you kid, its ok.

GIVE US A DESCRIPTION OF THIS SOUND! What area of the truck is it copming from? Certain conditions to make this sound, etc etc etc..
