Now installed: Lightning Heads, DEPO fogs, HIDs, painted honeycomb

Hi all -
Well the start of my '03 Screw transformation has begun. It was a busy week this week. Now installed are blacked out lightning heads, DEPO fogs, HIDs (heads and fogs), and I painted the honeycomb.

The HIDs don't look as blue as I thought (contrary to the pic). They actually look very white at night (35w 8000k). However during the day today, the reflection on the lenses looked nothing but blue...odd

Next I'm going to paint the cowl, nerf bars and nightshade my tails. In about a month I will be ordering my lifts and wheels

Onto the pics:

Stock heads, stock fogs, and the ugly worn out honeycomb:

Nice job. What company did you buy the HIDS from? I am looking to do this as well.

Very nice work Dude. I wouldn’t worry too much about the HID's they look fine. The fog lenses look great by the way.

Thanks all. Those changes made a big difference in the looks of the front end. Next week, I'll start tackling the other paint jobs.

Uncle Jesse -
I got the HIDs from DDM Tuning (Slim Ballasts with 35W 8000k bulbs). The prices were awesome so I couldn't pass them up.

What did you use to paint the grille? Also exactly how did you go about it? Seems like it would be a PITA to get in between each honeycomb and get it to look as good as you did.

First off you'll need to remove the entire grill assembly (you can see what I mean in one of my pics).

The honeycomb was actually a cinch to do. I started with adhesion promoter from Dupli-color (not exactly sure you need it). Then I sprayed it with Dupli-color trim paint (comes in matte black). I had to spray it left to right, then right to left etc to make sure I got each side of inside of each honeycomb. That was it.
