Bad Muffler

I know there are a bunch of threads like this but my Magnaflow muffler got a rust hole in the top of it and a baffle came loose making an annoying exhaust rattle all of the time. What do you guys think makes the nicest muffler for an 02 V8 5.4 I've decided I need something stainless so this doesn't happen again. I like loud but not crappy loud, I liked the sound of the Magnaflow, nice and deep but not loud enough. Any help is appreciated.

ive said it before and ill say it again.lol go with no muffler. these trucks sound really good that way and dont drone that much. this will also take care of your not loud enough problem.lol that is of course if you dont need the muffler to pass emitions.

I agree, go with no muffler. It isnt very loud without one. I have a flowmaster 40 welded in, previous owner did it, both my friends have no mufflers, I wish I had no muffler, I have to cut it off someday, its just never a priority when I have extra $$. The flowmaster is wickd quiet too, sounds like a stock hemi.

hmmm... magnaflow with baffles. Are you sure it is a maggie? If it is, it must be a 3 chamber. Look up the 14" maggie 12198 # inlet dual 2.5 outlets. Sounds great. I just wanted louder so I had my cats cut out and 2x 94106's welded in.

Just went to an exhaust place and the guy took one look at my exhaust and proclaimed "hell I've never seen that thing before" so I don't even know whats on there now, kinda looks like a hacked up glasspack, its round and long, one 3" in and one 3" out that has been cut to accommodate two 2.5" out. It sounds good except the rattle. Previous owner did it, but I just picked up a Super 44 so that should be going on soon.
