what mods left to do?

so ive had my 99 for 5 yrs or so now..ive added 40series flows, tires, gryphon programmer, mag-hytec diff cover, rancho shocks, slotted rotors...

mods im considering are long tubes, comp cam,e-fans,ud pullies, injectors, high flows

of these which would be best, headers? and ive looked at summit racing and i cant seem to find long tubes for my truck, can anyone tell me who makes long tubes for 2v 5.4?

im probably gonna do headers, high flows and one more thing, then that will be it for mods for this truck.

any input appreciated

Pacesetter and a few other.
LT's with a true dual setup on maggie high flows x piped would be a nice setup (loud). Going to lose a bit of low end though. Added HP gains are going to be in the mids/high rpms. Maybe stick with smaller tubing to keep what back pressure you can so you don't lose to much down low.

Try the gotts mod on your intake, took 15 mins and cost $12, seemed to have better throttle response for me (99 5.4L)

Here is the link to long tubes from summit. E fans flex a lite are the ones I have and there killer no problems so far. Cats are restrictions and there is no such real thing as a high flow cat I guess you could say higher flowing restriction LOL. You shouldn’t need bigger FI unless you’re going to add forced induction and even at that it all depends on how much HP you’re going to be pushing.
IMO Headers, E-fans, Cams WITH a CUSTOM TUNE AND NO CATS AT ALL FOLLOWED BY A 3IN REAL EXHUST SYSTEM. You might be able to see 35BHP maybe a little more with all this. Your gains will increase ten fold with forced induction no BS. Most people tend to blow the gains way way way out of proportion but once you’ve seen it on the dyno you will realize just how much $ it takes to pump a modern engine up. I’ve often thought of just ripping this 5.4 out and going with a 351 stroker or bigger and carbed but I love the MPG and reliability of a newer engine.
