Heads

Anyone know where I can get a rebuild kit for the heads on my truck?

I am asking assuming it is a valve that is burned out which is causing my misfire on my truck even though I have replaced everything

what makes you think you have a bad valve? Compression ?
If your going to replace/rebuild the head, why not find a set of good PI heads for under $300 and swap to PI heads and intake..

It would be way better more cost efficient to swap in pi heads. easier too than trying to rebuild the crappy 97 heads. You'll have to start using premium fuel cause it would raise your compression a point, but you'd prolly have a good hp gain. like 50 or even 60 ive read.
If you gotta go thru that trouble, id just swap in a new set of Pi tho for sure

as to the question of why I have a bad valve, i did a compression test(improperly apparently, I did not open the throttle) and on all of my cylinders I got some result except on the first cylinder in which it read 0 psi and that is the cylinder that has a misfire that even though I change injectors spark plugs wires, coils, and fuel filter and air filter I just cant seem to get it to go away

I would do the compression check again.. But even improperly, at 0... there is an issue, a serious one. Don't think Ive seen one at 0 that still had a valve in it lol. If it comes down to it, I would still opt for a set of PI heads

What were the other numbers

how is doing the pi swap cost efficient?? cause dont you have to buy a new intake to match the ports on the PI heads...

A set of new heads and intake wouldnt be cost affective...
But its not uncommon to find the heads and intake for pretty cheap with decent miles on them. I just sold my whole 5.4L motor with bad bottom end and good PI heads for $350... If you can find deals like that... that's cheap compared to having the heads rebuilt. Unless you just want to replace that one bad valve... but its typical while its off to do a full rebuild.
