Number 8 coil ? Some 2000's came with packs, that's why ask. If it's just a coil (COP), - it's a 15 or 20 minute job on #8 . A new coil will cost yuh about 10 bucks via Internet. You'll need dielectric grease as well, - 3 -5$.
I have a video on greasing properly if you don't know how yet.
Get your air intake out of the way, - not sure on the 4six, but your vacuum booster line might be in the way as well. You'll need an 7 and 8mm for the job.
BTW - Disconnect you battery first.

Number 4 is supposedly out on my 5.4l and they wanted about $240 for the job. I bought 8 cop on e-bay and will swith out the whole passenger bank. This is why I was also interested in knowing how to check the ones I'm removing to save or discard them. If I get a code for the drivers side then I have the cop for that then.
Thanks,
