E-Fan Conversion?

I can't find ANY info on this conversion, is there a good budget way of doing this? What size fans do I need?

I am sure somebody has done this. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in Advance.

Ok, how do I hook them up? What controller do I use?

I guess, I am looking for a write up or a how-to.

This is sincerely not a flame, but since you sound like you don't have much of a clue, you just may be better off going with a complete kit that has everything. Look into www.troyerperformance.com Wiring up fans is straight foward enough, but it's not like installing a set of fog lights or something.

There are plenty of threads about fan swaps, but details about controllers aren't frequent. At least, that's what I've found in searching. The fan setup in a 98 Windstar is the perfect size for an F-150/Expedition, and I plan on yanking the fans out of the parts van I have and putting them in my Expedition at some point. But, until I can figure out the controller part, I'm a little stalled...

Hello.

Yes - this site is saturated with efan info.

You will need to work for it a little - I promise it's not hard, lol.

Go here: https://www.f150online.com/forums/search.php

Type in the below and execute the search:

93 hits in the last year alone - many more if you go back farther.

Sorry, I should have specified.

I HATE digging through a bunch of **** threads.

All I wanted to know is what fans can I yank them from, and what/where do I get the controller.

Easy huh?

Lazy, huh?
Hello. fify ^

Lazy, huh?

Prefer to be spoon-fed, rather than invest a little time in looking for yourself?

Want folks to type, yet again, for the eleventeenth time, the same info that has already been offered, many times? It's aLL there - everything you need to know. EVERYTHING. Fan options, controller options, how to install, best practices, what to avoid (very important, that), reviews, ... E V E R Y T H I N G .

Be advised that what suits other's needs / skill levels may not suit yours - hence the vast diversity of options. Up to YOU to explore all those options, and pick a direction.

Sadly, looks like that ain't gonna happen since you apparently 'hate' to read... sucks to be you.

Even the provided links are not good enough for you?

Good luck - you are so going to need it.

My advice? Stay stock, as I can see the trainwreck any fan install you do is going to represent.

Yer bus is waiting ...

OK - seriously now, all well-intended BS'ing aside (see above) - I am trying to help you (e.g the links above I pulled from all of those hits are pretty specific - the Mad one is a good fit for example - both fan & controller-wise), but you also need some skin in this game, ok? Please?

In point of fact, if you do manage to gooble up at least some of the info presented, and have additional questions, I'll do everything I can to help further. No chit.

ive done several threads and have had lots of discussions on fans

I recommend Ebay 16" fans. Home made brackets. Autozone controller 17.99. and a lot of wiring and two switches and two relays

He better order the Troyer Kit. That way all he has to do is have someone read the instructions to him. Might wanna incorperate another for an understanding of such, - if required?
