Mystery Plug and Switches...??
2001 Ford F-150
6 Cylinder Auto
Here's the mystery.

Under the dash on the drivers side there is...
A white quick connector looks to be female with two metal pin/prongs in it.
A small toggle switch that is currently on.
A momentary switch.
I have no clue what this is for any ideas?
This could be related to anything? I have no clue,
There is no trailer hitch on this truck or hook-ups for anything.
It has the automatic door locks, but the key fob to lock and unlock them can not be located. There is a small antenna that looks like a receiver for that at the top of the windshield.
I'm going to check my owner's manual as well.

Had a mystery plug photo shoot. Now I notice two male connectors that I did not see before. I have the feeling this is all a mess from the alarm install, then lost key fobs. Great.

Close up of the connector and prongs.

That's the antenna that fell from the top of the windshield.

The alarm stuff explains the toggle, valet switch, antenna.
Have you looked underneath the dash to make sure the (what appears to be OEM) plug doesnt go to something up there? IIRC that doesnt look like one of the plugs from the stock keyless entry system, but I also havent seen every setup Ford provided, so I could be wrong. Try following that plugs wires back, and see where they lead you?

I pulled/unbolted the trim above and around the steering column? Tried to find the alarm brain/unit. Could not figure why there was all these plugs connected to nothing? Guess what? I could not find the brain/unit because it was removed by previous owner.
Left the antenna and all the plugs. The key fobs must have been from a previous unit.
I also found a decal above the radiator under the hood... "Warning this vehicle is equipped with an Anti-Theft system and Automatic Start system."
Never did it occur to me that the previous owner might have kept the aftermarket unit?

I have the same empty plugs, - well the grey one I'm sure of and most likley the others as well, there's a few. Factory car starter, - Code Alarm or something like that and a ton of inline mini fuses. I have that same decal under the hood.

I have a few aftermarket sensors and what not. I think someone upgraded the alarm at some point.
