Well I gave the torsion bolts a few turns today to get an inch or so out of the front (didnt max them out, still atleast 1/2" of bolt) to get ready for the new tires..... Bout an hour later and a few miles down the road I was reversing out of an incline with a bump in it. Front end made a loud screech and bound up to a dead stop. I tried from a few different angles without the wheels turned to finish backing up (couldnt go forward) and at every attempt they bound up in reverse. So... I decided to go over the median, made it and got the truck home but it was talkin to me the whole way home. Might be stuck in my driveway now if I cant reverse. So Im sure the cv axles are toast. 123k on them... seemed fine till I bumped the front up a bit. Going to do the whole front end if theyre coming off, ball joints, wheel bearings, tie rod ends, brakes and cv axles both sides so there goes $4-500 bucks. Bummer. Might not see tires next week.

Are these axles any good? And does it matter if theyre abs or not.
